Sgt. Keith Hughes has the duty of relating the news of the police department to the various newspapers, radio and television stations in Northwest Indiana and Chicago. Some of the other aspects of the position include station tours for groups from local school and organizations.  Sgt. Hughes also provides crime prevention information and assists local organizations with public safety projects they may be participating such as child fingerprinting and bicycle rodeos.
