City of Portage, Indiana

This 5-acre park site, situated along Willowcreek road, just south of Central Avenue, is a city plaza type gathering place commemorating those individuals who have dedicated their lives to serving the Portage Community as Fire Fighters and Police Officers. The beautifully landscaped park features a centrally located ornamental gazebo and plaza area, the Police and Fire Fighter's Memorial at the north end, and the Portage Exchange Club's Freedom Shrine at the south end. The park is divided into small garden plots separated by the wide walking paths traversing the site.
