Imagination Glen Park
The largest park in the Portage Park system, at 256 acres, is Imagination Glen. Located along the eastern boundary of the City, between State Road 149 and McCool Road, Imagination Glen is the home to the department's softball and soccer complexes, the BMX race track, the 10-mile Outback Trail, and large tracts of heavily wooded forests with Salt Creek meandering through the center. The Iron Horse Heritage Trail borders the southern boundary of the park. With a lot of potential for further improvements and development, Imagination Glen Park is a vital component of the park system.
