Young Rembrandts teaches preschool children the skills necessary to draw more complex images. As preschoolers learn to draw in color with our step-by-step method, they develop observation skills, increase their fine motor skills, hand-writing readiness and attention to detail. Our program prepares them as learners so they will be successful in kindergarten. Our classses are fun, engaging and affordable. Cartoon Action Workshop
Date: June 25, 27, & 29

It's time for cartoon lovers to learn to cartoon their favorite action sports! These cartoons all center on popular action sports like skateboarding, skating, scooters, and biking. Learn simple cartoon characters, how to show movement, action lines, sounds, sequencing a joke and expressions. Turn the sports you love into cartoons you can enjoy again and again. Pencils, sharpies and markers will be used.
Junior Cartoon Workshop
Date: July 16, 18, & 20
Time: 10am to 11:30am
Ages: 5 to 7
Where: Woodland Park, Blue Spruce Room
Cost: $40 (all supplies included)
Minimum 5, Maximum 18
Students will love this cartoon-themed workshop. They will learn fundamental drawing skills that will allow them to create their own magnificent cartoon drawings. On Day 1, students will create animal characters with lots of style and personality. On Day 2, students will learn to draw expressions. On Day 3, the students will take familiar objects and transform them into expressive cartoon characters. Pencils and markers will be used.
Dinosaur Cartoon Workshop
Date: July 30, August 1, & 3
Time: 1pm to 2:30pm

Dinosaurs are always popular with children! Using a variety of cartoon techniques, we will humanize some dinosaurs as our characters. our dinosaurs will participate in many familiar human activities and scenes. We will even learn to tell a joke like a comic strip as we learn to sequence our cartoons. Using markers, we will bring the dinosaurs alive with color and humor. Pencils and markers will be used.
