Facilitates the translation of community values, goals, and objectives into everyday relationships with the built and natural environments;

Assists petitioners with application procedures for the Plan Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, and Development Review Committee;

Provides staff support to the Plan Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, and Development Review Committee;

Administers and updates the City of Portage Zoning Ordinance, including Zoning Map, and Subdivision Control Ordinance; and

Prepares and maintains long-range growth strategies, including the City of Portage Comprehensive Plan, City of Portage Northside Master Plan, Central Avenue Business District Master Plan, and Portage Higher Learning Campus Master Plan.
